Disha Pandey to scorch the screens in ‘Achamindri’
Remember the dazzling Disha Pandey, who romanced Shiva in ‘Thamizhpadam’, which was a satire on Tamil cinema itself. The film, directed by newcomer Amudhan, was a runaway hit in the early part of the year. Disha has now been signed up to play the lead role in the film titled ‘Achamindri’.
The film, produced M.I. Baadshah on behalf of his Shaas Films, is being directed by debutant director Rajesh K. Vasu, who would also be penning the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film. Rajesh Vasu has worked as assistant director to many leading Tamil and Malayalam film directors.
Newcomer Vinayak would be debuting as hero in the film which would also have another heroine, who would be a leading model from Bangalore. Newcomer Sajiram would be debuting in the film as music director. Maniprasad would be the cinematographer while Vinod would be the art-director of the film.
Rajesh says that the film would be about those who are educated but destroy culture in the name of being ‘fashion-friendly’. It would be depicting as to how the Indian culture actually gets distorted by people like them, he added. The film was launched yesterday at a grand function at AVM studios in the city.
